Inclement Weather Policy

Your safety is our priority. If you don’t feel safe traveling to church, please don’t.

In the event of inclement weather, we will do everything possible to timely notify you about building closures or schedule changes.

The Pastor along with the Board of Trustees will make the decision to close the church building due to inclement weather.  If possible, the decision will be made by 8:00 am on Sunday’s.  During the week, if Baltimore City Schools are closed, then our scheduled activities during the day will be cancelled.  Chairpersons and Leaders will notify you, if they are canceling your committee meeting or activity. Depending on conditions, the building may be closed all day or part of the day.

We will communicate any changes in our church schedule by the following means:

v

Check your e-mail for a mass e-mail from the church office.

v

Call the church office for a message on the voice mail system.

v

Church Facebook page and Church website will be updated as soon as possible.

v

Television: WBAL will be notified when we are closed.

NOTE: Due to the large number of schools, government agencies and hospitals WBAL may not be able to put all closings on the bottom of our screen. However, the listings will show up on their website (http://www.wbaltv.com/weather/closings) and on our mobile app.

Community Partners– The church will be open if feasible. Each group will be responsible for its own communications.

We will make NO ANNOUNCEMENT if there is NO CHANGE to our church schedule.
